Usage Statistics -Analytics

What roles TSELG should play in coordination of Analytics?

20

all

Background information:

  • It is noted that in the folder structure of Analytics, campuses and consortia have developed reports that support institutional reporting to various entities. To the extent that at the campus level this reporting is managed by those outside of the scope of the current functional groups, this area is not sufficiently represented within the SILS structure.

  • While AEFG has identified specific applications of Analytics in its MVP items and campus workflows, including COUNTER reports for electronic resources and setting up SUSHI for usage statistics, ways that CDL may make use of Analytics, etc., it is also recognizing that this is an area that has cross-functional application, and broader implications beyond the scopes of the functional groups.

  • AEFG would like to have TSELG take up topic of coordination of Analytics with these issues in mind.

Background information:

  • In our new shared tool, it would seem quite beneficial to share across campuses any licenses we have, so that we can compare terms obtained previously within the system.

  • If we are One University, One Library sharing such data should not be an issue.
