Over the past month we've been gathering feedback from SILS groups and our campuses on capacity to work on processing OA collections.

Some campuses indicate they have capacity at various levels, others do not.

Reminder of the 3 Workflow Options:

  1. Maintain existing SCP workflow

  2. Create a group modeled after SCP but dedicated to OA

  3. Decentralize work among all/most campuses

Consulting with SCP we found that there aren't many requests for OA cataloging at the moment - between 15-20 requests per year for monographs (which are kicked back to the campus) and serials.

  • Can we turn on more OA collections from the CZ more liberally (in the NZ)?

  • How can we control the order of links that appear in Primo? Subscribed content should be listed before OA.

  • Look more into the impact of CDI settings vs portfolios
