• PPC Calls cancelled - will be held 7/31.

• PPC-NZ - several calls on this front. There has been extensive discussion between CDL and Ex Libris about how to handle SCP vs SFX data in the vanguard load; loading both to network zone would result in some 1.2 million duplications that would require such extensive cleanup as to hamper vanguard testing.

  • Result: Ex Libris strongly suggested loading SCP data into a separate, unlinked IZ, for comparison with the SFX-loaded data in the NZ. Still investigating possibilities for associating or overlaying the SCP data in the NZ later. This means that the SCP bibs won’t already be in the network zone when campus data loads – which may have further ramifications for load order (due to NZ’s “first in” approach)

• PPC-NZ (cont.) - CDL is also looking at approaches for suppressing resources until they can be assigned “available for” groups – because resources with no group assigned will show as available in the NZ for all campuses.

• Slack re: RLFs and authority files - coordination with Resource Management happening.

• Review of tabs to pay attention to on the configuration form: licensing, general, acquisitions, IP ranges within locations tab.

  • Questions remain about significance of IP ranges in locations tab – can be used to restrict display or sort results by proximity to user, but what are implications for ILL & discovery?

• Preliminary harmonization questions: PO/POL? Licensing terms - what needed at delivery of Vanguard. Others?

  • Licensing terms are a target for harmonization, but can be changed after system is live - configuration is preliminary. Y/N on whether an element is displayed to the public is important.

  • Need to investigate import options for licenses/terms, as not all campuses can easily migrate the data up front (ie UCSD’s Millennium ERMS license data)

  • Will try to arrive at decision on recommendations for PO/POL prefixes next week. Benefit of prefixes is ability to recognize what POLs were migrated from old system vs generated in Alma.

• Subgroups will look at several areas for harmonization possibilities/recommendations (see action items).

•  Lisa Spagnolo communicate items for FG harmonization/ recommendation for Config Form to Caitlin (vs. local discretion).
•  Subgroup looking at significance/usage for IP ranges in location tab: Carla Arbagey ; Paula Pascual will be available starting next week; Lisa Spagnolo will connect w/Josephine about this, also talk to PPC
