What are the duties needed to get the work done? Who will take notes? Who will keep meetings on track/time? Who is responsible for tracking actions?
What are our expectations for working together? Create a list of statements that the team agrees to uphold. For example, ask yourself: How do we make this group a safe space for transparent discussion (knowing that it might become contentious, and avoid back-channeling)? What are our ground rules for meetings? How do we ensure everyone is engaged? How do we ensure everyone has a voice? How will we resolve disagreements? Objective

Roles
Steering Committee members Chan Li, Ellen Augustiniak, and Michele Potter will guide the project by planning work and managing the timeline.
Chair Ellen Augustiniak will facilitate online meetings, with advance agendas, note-taking, time-management, and facilitation approaches that are guided by the Best Practices for Team Members outlined in documentation of SILS Shared governance structure, charges and work practices.
Team member Danielle Watters Westbrook will take notes and assist in project management.
Expectations for working together
Our team members agree to use SILS principles as guidance. Specifically, we agree to the following:
One person speaks at a time.
We look to learn from each other. From what we know individually, as well as from our questions.
We support each other as speakers, and understand that nobody is articulate all the time.
Time limits are respected so that all team members have a chance to contribute.
