Authority control task list: UCSD and UCLA have enabled this job for their IZs and Ex Libris should be turning it on for the NZ as well. Thoughts on using the 12/16 RMFG study hall to look at this together to formulate any questions we might have?

PPC is cancelled for the rest of December. If we do have decisions to send for approval that can be done over email but we also don’t need to rush!

Test load decision calendar (in our shared google drive) has been updated to reflect current dates for our few remaining decisions (authorities, OCLC updates, working in the NZ, and configuration).

Vanguard data can be trusted to remain as we expect it through 12/18 - after that things may change

This group can think about whether we want to put records into the Sandbox and use that during the early January downtime phase

12/16 RMFG study hall to review authority control job task lists - feel free to invite campus team members who work with authority control

1. From last week: “Which campuses are excluding special collections records, or other large batches of records? – UCB, UCSD (special collections and ProQuest government documents records), CDL (excluding EEBO records)” UCB hasn’t decided this yet.

2. From the question about “What questions have come up about how we work in the NZ” : a. – What does "in the NZ" mean?  Is it any record in the NZ (e.g., a UCB only record) or merged record?  are those treated the same?  Thinking for digital collections and our work on these. We have records that tie to other applications and either have a need to change them or a need to not have others change them. 

   b. -- What is the impact of any policy on "running jobs" for clean up post migration

3. Do we want to draft an initial policy document that can be adjusted… “ --Any proposed policy should be tested and adjusted during test as practical work will impact any proposal. 

Question from PPC re: new RDA

The 3R project wraps up this month and the beta Toolkit will be switching to the “current” version and the “current” version switching to “original.” However, PCC isn’t planning on implementing the new RDA until at least July 2022, are campuses planning on following PCC guidance? Is anyone planning on implementing before the PCC does?
