From RM:

  • Delineate the difference between what is allowed in the 973 and 930

  • Main “use case of concern” is collocating resources. Varies widely by campus, so recreating functionality is a local issue. Recommend pointing out the impact that inconsistent use of these fields will have on Primo (highlight that this is not the way to collocate resources anymore)

From DISC:

  • 973 for legacy data collection (Staff only) or non-e-Resources collection

  • doubt that the ERES decision will have any impact on discovery

  • Still need to finalize alternative solutions for collocating e-resources.

  • DISC likely not considering staff as “standard user” when determining impact on discovery

  • Might have discovery impact on smaller sets of users

  • Any standard dashboards? Or reports you’d like to see?

    • Continual problem to connect expenditures with inventory. Impacts ability to effectively use Analytics for financial reports.

    • quarterly report illustrating e-inventory statistics at unit level (portfolios activated, resources purchased, etc.)

  • Interest in building report together?

    • Possible candidate is UCOP reports

  • Support for SILS-Analytics “support group”

  • UCSB: most databases and portfolios in local “UCSB” collection. Anything we need to know before moving these to the relevant CZ collections?

    • No issues with ebooks

    • For journals, if IZ portfolios are in the same collection as NZ, the IZ coverage is the only one used. Consider using different CZ collection

  • When activating link-in-record collections, is it normal for them to take long periods of time to appear in Primo VE?

    • Yes, and can open a case if it seems like it’s taking too long

  • How to handle collections that have portfolios and are also “link in record”?

    • Generally rely on CDI linking, unless there’s a specific reason portfolios should be on.

    • Also might need to consider whether the collection is part of “Easy Active.” If not, then portfolios might be needed.
