PM/Ex Libris Update (recurring)

Trainers:

EXL will send out a reminder to the trainers to be sure to be logged in at least 5 mins early for every session (earlier for the first one on Mondays).

  • Share with IT: log into first Monday session ~10 mins early to intro w/ trainer before overview begins

  • Collect questions for upcoming ExL meetings

Report from last Thursday (/wiki/spaces/ExL/pages/1393819835) and Tuesday meetings (/wiki/spaces/ExL/pages/1397359119) and ask any questions for Thursday

  • FYI from Slack to PPC: at the PPC meeting last Friday, a question was asked about moving the Analytics workshop up to May or possibly June after the campus workshops concluded. There was also a request for Connie Braun to lead that workshop. Below is the response I got from Marci:

    • "EXL had scheduled the analytics workshop post-Go Live because, in our experience, after working exclusively in Alma for some time, sites have a better understanding of how they want to use analytics. With this understanding, they can better utilize in-depth training on the subject.

    • Even more importantly, after Go Live, they are seeing (and will use) their real up-to-date data (as opposed to their older Test Load data).

    • At this late point in time, we are unable to slot in an Analytics Workshop prior to your Go Live due to our enablement services and training teams' availability."

    • Also, Connie Braun has retired from ExL.

  • What ExL is offering us during the requested time (May/June) is another Analytics Overview such as the one they did during Vanguard. If this is desirable, please let me know so we can snap up one of the available Office Hour slots on Thursdays from 10-12. Available dates are May 20, May 27, and Jun 3 - but scheduling would need to be confirmed with the new Analytics lead

Planning for Primo VE Workshop on week of May 17th

[Left for lingering questions, next steps]

Things we need to do

  1. Primo VE Workshop Schedule - Approved

  2. Finalize zoom plans/links; recording

    1. Zoom info from Lena. Still soliciting CDL staff to be alternate hosts to have coverage for recordings.

  3. Potential Participants List

Primo VE environment: still being decided by ICs, have until 2 weeks before workshop to decide (deadline May 3)

Training is on May 17th

Session attendance breakdown by ex libris

Logistics to consider:

  • How are we going to handle questions? Who to prioritize? How to accept them? Who will be able to evaluate questions/not overspend time on one specific issue? ICs or FGs?

    • Questions Document

    • Reminder that some questions will be answered live and some will be answered in Basecamp, asynchronously.

  • Need to pick host for each session

    • Identify & write script

    • Maybe two assigned to each session to handle questions
