2 | Taking the temperature | Redefine the Discovery Subteam and establish concrete structure so we can accomplish meaningful “meaty” work. | | | There are no wrong answers What were your individual expectations for this team? What do you feel isn’t working? What hurdles do you face locally in testing the items on the workplan currently? What support do you need? Are we accidentally giving ourselves boring and useless assignments? Is there enough work for two separate teams? Not everyone is interested/skilled in the same things. Must we all do the same things and projects? Are we willing to divide responsibility by expertise? Say, have a number of members delegated to handle the UX projects while the rest trust their recommendations? And then others work on functionality, and so on.
The Chair is allowed to “Form and task subgroup(s) as necessary.” If the UX team is a subgroup within Discovery, then how does that change things?

3 | | | | | To think about: Should we create a 2+ member Discovery Steering Committee to plan work and manage the timeline? Should we schedule open, optional study halls that can be used for testing with a buddy, addressing/exploring issues that come up, etc.?
