Subteam Roundup

Check-in on OSTs - capture any shared issues or cross-team task

5

Team

  • F OST membership is back up to full strength - the replacement member at UCSD has been made official. In the coming weeks I’ll be volunteering to be Chair for the remainder of this term and the next full term (thru July ‘24). Assuming there are no objections with my OST, we’ll then determine a Vice-Chair

  • RS OST: still plugging away at sub projects: Tipasa testing, P2P investigation, user statistical categories (for RS Analytics)

  • ERES OST: giving CDL another week to review 1st deliverable to share with OT-Multi-Series E-Collections, recognizing this issue may involve ERES, but is user needs driven and requires broader assessment (likely to include groups outside of SILS).

Tom

From ExLibris support meeting:
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/Release_and_Maintenance_Schedule
We know the semi-annual reindexing will happen two weeks in July, but we do not know exactly when each institution would go into the queue.

There are clearly some areas of risk we will need to be willing to take, but there are also options of reindexing one institution at a time or possibly some version of a vanguard group to go first in a separate re-indexing.

In discussion with All Chairs today we all felt that going the vanguard route would be more problematic than going all at once.
