SILS Town Hall on 8/18

Info from the IC Group around testing. See the recording…need link.

How user accounts for non-Vanguard will be set--access comes AFTER Vanguard sites have tested their topics.

8/14 PPC Meeting Notes

Revisit 8/13 ExL call--check the recording to hear directly from them about topics of concern to us. Laurie went over delivery of the Vanguard environment and some of the timeline related to that.

E-Resources in the NZ 8/27. Add it to your calendar. 10am - 12 on Thursdays.

Quick review together. Any remaining configuration questions, timeline/training.

Created a new Acq/ERM document to help us all find the recordings and the special meeting times, days, and links. This includes the 8/20 session on data migration and the 8/27 session on NZ workflows/shared vendors.

Post final acquisitions questions today.

Already Alma campuses, identify any issues you had with migrating orders

All

Using Issues/Questions to capture/triage testing items as tracking infrastructure developed.

  • Look at what tasks, by next Friday, that we want to propose for this group to test. Submit by 8/28 to PPC. General scope, not fully described.

For 8/19:

  • Testing Access Discussion: Central Vanguard Testing Access Doc and Acq/ERM FG Testing Access Working Doc

  • Roadmap to building testing plan: subgroups, division of tasks, mini-goals for 8/19 and 8/26.

    • AEFG Subgroup 8/18 Discussion Notes

      • AEFG should consider broader system-wide functionality and relationships.

      • ILSDC report on testing; may want to provide guidance on e-resources functionality rather than checking migration outcome

      • What ERMS content are campuses migrating and where might it duplicate CDL info

      • FRBRization in Primo--results issues --Lisa W. has a test sheet for functionality rather than data migration checks; will share

      • For Timeline, what is reasonable for FG scope if we have 4-5 weeks for testing and delivering Vanguard outcomes?

      • AEFG will recommend additional testing for IZs related to ERM in particular

      • UCI would like to better test workflows and POL types--challenge data comes over differently per campus

    • AEFG should have a role in recommending best practices to the extent possible

FG developing testing areas to extend from ILSDC for coordinated testing (i.e., not campus-level). Using Issue/Question Tracker as working document.
