Review our Charge

Determine how we want to proceed

Our charged has an expected dissolution date of April. Looking ahead:

  • What do we need to do before April?

    • Formalize our thoughts around the funding and why

    • Finish documentation, provide an overview

    • Create a game plan for the POL entry

    • Review ideas for presentations we want to do

    • Review the Asana board

  • Do we want to recommend this project team be extended? If so, for how long?

    • If we say we want to extend, we need to give a timeline and what it would accomplish.

    • Through June - to prepare for the start of the fiscal year

    • Do we need to bring anyone else into the conversation from within CDL?

      • Lisa Mackinder will be back mid-March

  • Do people need to roll off this team?

    • After June.

    • May be available past June for brief periods.

  • Where do we want to go from here?

  • What does it mean to be done?

  • Will the Ex Libris consulting result in a lot of big changes?

  • What messaging do we want to send?

    • Audience: Quarterly update (end of February)

      • include reflection of year of work

      • Shifting to get order records into NZ before FY24 even if we don’t have all the minutiae figured out.

      • Separate group working on usage stats

      • We expected IZ/NZ interaction would require harmonization/standardization which is not the case

  • Roll off thoughts

    • Keep slack channel available

  • Timeline?

  • Usage stats is out of scope

Criteria for success: “The team is successful when we determine what can and can’t be operationalized within Alma. The team has tested and documented the extent of Alma’s functionality for each need. The team will identify staff, programming, or consultant needs to support the successful implementation of CDL workflows. The team will draft workflows or create hand-off documents for relevant SILS groups and CDL staff, including potential timelines, at which point this team may be dissolved.”

Notes/Topics for Ex Libris Consulting

Next Quarterly report: Include expectations for campus practices around making order records.

Best Practice: How long to wait for collection to show in CZ vs creating local record? Inventory subteam will look and probably send to Eres for further discussion.

Vanderbilt integrated with Oracle and did a presentation on it.

For reference: Out of Office/Vacation Schedule
