PPC Discovery needs fill out its section on PPC’s (Test load) Configuration Form by 1/20.

Special Primo VE configuration mtg with Discovery: ExL short on time to set one up before 2/5. Check in with Discovery FG members: Did they feel ExL answered their Primo VE config form questions?

• UCB, UCSF, UCSD noted it wasn’t very detailed and barely covered Primo.

• Not going to push with a one-on-one with ExL.

Primo VE Workshop will spread over five days. Date is still TBD and looks to have to be at/after mid-May. It’s a workshop that is usually given after go-live.

• Including the NZ with “almost everything” scope: UCSD, UCLA, UCSB, UCSF, CDL, UCB, UCI, UCD, UCSC, UCR are good with it

• Importance of getting CDL records to view

  • Boosting

• WorldCat scope: UCSD, UCLA, UCSB, UCSF, CDL, UCSC, UCR is interested in having it for test.

  • UCB, UCI not interested in having WorldCat scope

  • Some ambivalence with lack of functionality. There’s interest in way to link out to the native interface. Interested to look at and test it.

  • Systemwide API key for it (Sarah will follow up with CDL)

• CDI assumption of being in the “almost everything” scope:

  • include : UCSD, UCLA, UCSB, UCSF, CDL, UCB, UCI, UCD, UCSC, UCR

  • Limit by availability by default or not: UCSD, UCLA, UCSB, UCSF, CDL, UCB, UCI, UCD, UCR all want to test. UCSC and UCD wants to try the UCI approach.

  • Should this be something we harmonize on

    • Leaning towards: UCSD, UCLA, UCSB, UCSF, CDL, UCB, UCD, UCSC, UCR

    • Leaning against: UCI

• UC Network search profile:

  • discussion of a best practices mandate-- to allow for flexibility to include/not a separate UC wide scope. We think it should be configured a certain way and then we will set up a best practice for it.

Decisions:

1. Include NZ with “almost everything” scope

2. Include CDI in “almost everything” and harmonize on that.

3. Do not harmonize on filter by availability. ERM people need to be consulted on this.

4. Allow for flexibility to include (or not) a separate UC wide scope (in advanced search)
