DISCOVERY VISION: We strive to design and implement the best possible discovery and delivery experience for our end users using data-driven decision making. We envision a network zone experience that will allow users to discover library materials across UC collections without sacrificing relevant results. As such, the default search and results interface should prioritize the success of typical users while providing additional functionality for more advanced users.

1	Updates			Jess	(Jess) Writing up notes re: restricted requests for when there is no location available for AFN; this sort of relates to the exclude from discovery network discussion. Digital Collections FG reached out to us to ask for (at least one) DFG member to work with them in a subgroup. (In the sandbox environment) DCFG plans to re-harvest some digital collections from Calisphere into Primo to evaluate the impact on discoverability; Would like us to help evaluate the impact on the user experience.		Jess will draft a decision page for restricted requests (e.g. special collections) @Josephine Tan (Unlicensed) will forward Sharon’s name for the Digital Collections subgroup. Also will ask Michael if he’s interested.
2	“Exclude from Discovery Network” Testing			All	Reference: https://docs.google.com/document/d/13i8Et5Y3olxU7lFW5RKrsLF5CKyVyAt9fcbA6dFylCM/edit?usp=sharing Most all of us have made configuration change in a test instance to test. IC’s would like to move on this, but let’s check in next week. IC’s are fine with a rolling implementation of this.
3	Displaying resource sharing links for e-books			All	IC Slack channel had thread on this topic. Our group has already been thinking about this and possibly other groups as well. NOTE FROM LAST MTG: Configurations locally can impact users' ability to find records for print items when we own the e-books (things like FRBR’ed results set impact this). Blank ILL request forms are an option		Josephine: Will ask PSELG if they want to help identify which groups can work on discussing this topic, since it effects systemwide services.
4	Check Ins	Discuss updates/problems/testing		All	Many problems with Browse Search- slow, functionality, not working as expected. This could be something to add for the next phase to look at. OA resource management task force was formed to discuss OA issues.		Josephine start a document for items the next phase should take a look at.
