Discussion items
DISCOVERY VISION: We strive to design and implement the best possible discovery and delivery experience for our end users using data-driven decision making. We envision a network zone experience that will allow users to discover library materials across UC collections without sacrificing relevant results. As such, the default search and results interface should prioritize the success of typical users while providing additional functionality for more advanced users.

| From the RMFG Decision Page for 5XX-9XX:“***Campuses can map other 9XX data however they like but should keep in mind that long-term RMFG will be asking campuses to adopt the 9XX standardization found here: https://www.carli.illinois.edu/products-services/i-share/physical-res-man/local_extensions. The fields above represent an initial pilot project. ILSDC will be providing comments on when/if campuses can adopt the rest of the mappings before go-live or in the months following.” |
