DCPT: I send a response to them based upon last week’s discussion. I’ve also sent them our Slack conversation and new questions about the decision tree and they will incorporate that into their report.

FRBR Preferred Record

Decide next steps with this issue.
More testing?
Enhancement Request?
Support Ticket?

UCSC’s testing: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1j4BlFs4SIIe02l1kWJz2Wa9h1O9nj6PQrF_tMq5ZPio/edit?usp=sharing

Campuses with FRBR turned off:
Berkley, UCSB, Davis (also has Dedup turned off), UCLA (also has Dedup turned off)

Con: Lots of duplicate records.

We need to see the pros and cons of the various settings so campuses can choose the “least bad option” for their individual needs.

We need to create an ideal functionality that we expect to see from the FRBR behavior so that it can be presented to Ex Libris (might reach out to other ELUNA campuses and the ELUNA Primo Working Group for buy in and weight)

Jessica will create a document and/or sheet with configurations so campuses can test and record pros and cons they see.

Future Meeting

Determine what to do about May 27 and June 10 meetings.

Jessica and Dominique (Chair, Vice Chair) are both out May 27 and June 10.
Does anyone want to take over running those two meetings?
Should we cancel?

Both meetings will be canceled due to multiple people being out on both dates. There are still alternating meetings during that time.

Jessica will cancel the two meetings.
4

Standing Item: Review Issues Spreadsheet and Parking Lot, other things.

We see value in keeping the high-level configurations for each campus shared and up to date.

We need a way to determine future work, and how to approach that work and testing if everyone’s instance looks or acts differently.

We want to address Accessibility issues in Primo. What is the scope of UC’s desires? Is there a UCOP report made in the past we can reference? How do we bypass Ex Libris' reluctance to address the issue?

Jess to move the “Campus Select Configurations” sheet to Discovery’s drive so that we can keep it updated.
Jessica will share information regarding Boosting problems in the UCR search results
Jessica will figure out how to address the other issues (vague, I know)
