Announcements

5

  • Gem: Workstream improvement plan with Ex Libris is starting up. LG will be explaining and reaching out.

2

Slack/General Questions

  • CDL: What determines the order the menu on the left side of an item record in Primo display?

  • UCR: Has anyone played with Configuring the Order of Online Services?

5

  • CDL: Accessibility concern - tabbing is out of order in this section (seen at UCB, not CDL).

    • We need more documentation!

    • Gem will open ticket.

  • UCR: ERES is also looking into this, so we might work together. Unclear how IZ-NZ interaction works at this point.

    • UCSC has determined a preferred display order, and is interested in implementing this if possible.

    • Send Gem examples of NZ-IZ items

  • New from support meeting: Display Logic settings from one campus impacting others?

    • Berkeley request links are showing up for some items at other campuses.

    • Jackie will send screencast demonstrating issue to support - current response from Ex Libris seems incorrect. Maybe TOUs?

3

Research Assistant

  • Ex Libris disabled - is anyone testing?

  • Should we add to workplan?

10

  • Not only “does it work?”, but “do we align with this philosophically?”

    • What other groups should be involved in this discussion - instruction?

  • Discovery will write up summary of technical ability, and list additional concerns

  • Ex Libris says releases won’t work like this in the future.

4

Workplan

  • Decide “Direct Linking Best Practices” and “Quicklinks in Primo VE” - are these related enough to be combined, or should they be distinct?”

  • Campus sign up for items

20

  • We will keep Direct Linking and Quicklinks as separate items.

  • All items have sign ups or are deferred. We will prioritize next time and distribute work burden.
