  • New SILS team: Inclusive Metadata. Anyone from this group interested?

Question from OT: uresolver_remote_register NZ parameter

15

  • OT would like to change uresolver_remote_register NZ parameter value from “manual” to “none”. This will cause “REGISTER” link to stop showing up on Primo records.

    • UCSC is already hiding with CSS.

    • We got some more info from Ex Libris support yesterday that might complicate selection of “none” vs. “auto”. Both of these will hide the REGISTER link, but will have different effects on Primo linked user accounts.

Slack/General Questions

15

  • UCB wants feedback on suppress dedup project plan.

    • UCLA has no concerns, and is very interested in outcome - we also have libraries that would like to suppress dedup for specific locations.

  • UCB is trying Resource Recommender to surface NZ-licensed journals (adding records case by case).

  • Ex Libris has the video and slides up for the Exploring NDE UI for Consortia session.

  • UCSF is interested in “Automatic Suppression of Titles Without Inventory in Primo VE” (https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/Release_Notes/002Primo_VE/2025/010Primo_VE_2025_Release_Notes?mon=202508BASE ).

    • Previously we were concerned about impact on NZ electronic resources, but documentation has improved.

    • We’d want to test in the Sandbox first. Might require reindex - maybe plan for testing in January?

  • Disabling “fuzzy match” to solve outstanding issues

    • Did we talk about fuzzy match before in Discovery?

    •  If not, is this something we want to explore more.

    • When Sherry gets responses back from ExL like this, where the only option is for the IZ to change a setting, how would you like us to follow-up? Just respond to campus person who submitted the original ticket? cc discovery? Some other process?

  • Managing primo_snippets GitHub repo

  • Looking ahead to next meetings - subgroups or full team?
