Mapping Responses to Deliverables

Update from subteam on mapping the responses to deliverables

15 min

@Tricia Lampron @Cathleen Lu

Mapping was good and helped us identify what to focus on.

Identified heavy need to focus on subject heading/vocabularies.

Identified two gaps in our deliverables (statement, agreement over NZ records)

People seem to be reluctant to work on NZ records because they think their work could be overwritten.

  • Highlight deliverables that are applicable for Phase 1

  • Add a status column to track where we are

@Marcia Barrett and @Catherine Busselen will talk about next steps for the deliverables mapping

Update from DEIA Training & Resources Subgroup

DEIA Training & Resources Landing Page

Working List of DEIA Training & Resources

15 min

@Marcia Barrett @Cathleen Lu @Ryan Finnerty

Can tag at page level only - not at title level

The current categories are draft categories - what should be changed?

Some resources fit more than one category but are not yet listed duplicatively

Is everything appropriate? Anything we should remove? Is it okay to add projects other libraries did?

We’re missing a few abstracts which will be added.

Have we thought about use cases for the list or how people would be approaching the list? For instance, someone might be looking for a few educational resources to help them get started with ethical metadata. Or someone might be looking for Alma/Primo solutions.

@Marcia Barrett @Catherine Busselen @Claudia Conrad @Ryan Finnerty @Rachel Jaffe @Tricia Lampron @Cathleen Lu @Naomi Shiraishi @Israel Yáñez @Erica Zhang Review Possible Use Cases list. Are there other use cases?
@Marcia Barrett @Catherine Busselen @Claudia Conrad @Ryan Finnerty @Rachel Jaffe Review & comment on “Accessibility” - “Discovery” categories & resources (p.1-12) on Working List of DEIA Training & Resources. Should any of these be removed? Add additional resources if you have any.
@Tricia Lampron @Cathleen Lu @Naomi Shiraishi @Israel Yáñez @Erica Zhang

Review & comment on “General” - “User-Submitted Feedback” categories & resources (p.12-24) on Working List of DEIA Training & Resources. Should any of these be removed? Add additional resources if you have any.

@Tricia Lampron will go through the survey responses to see if there are any applicable use cases for the list of resources.
@Marcia Barrett will draft some possible use cases for the list of resources.
@Marcia Barrett will assign sections of the list of resources to two subgroups for them to review.

DEIA Training & Resources Criteria & Scope Draft

Review draft for criteria and scope

  • Who can contribute to this space?

  • Will the site be ongoing?

  • Who will be responsible for the site following our work?

15 min

@Marcia Barrett

We’ll discuss criteria and exclusions at the September 12 meeting.

  • Prefer that this is continuously updated.

  • What we provide as a deliverable will be a prototype that another group will maintain when we’re discharged.

  • Possible future group could be CMCKG
