Operations Team meeting, July 24, 2024 – Discussion of EIMP PT Update for Operations, June 2024

Update from Caitlin

10 min

@Caitlin Nelson

Considerations:

  • Lay out what the work is specifically, including what the unit of work is, that it needs to be done by an empowered group that can act on behalf of the system and has DEIA metadata expertise

  • Why is the nature of the work ongoing?

  • How often do people need to meet?

  • Does it need to be a representative group?

  • Would group membership rotate?

EIMP-PT survey results show respondents want and need a group of DEIA metadata experts within the system that can

  • be available

  • stay on top of the DEIA metadata work landscape

  • publish documentation for everyone to access.

DOC group has a Communications Team (Liz Miraglia is a member) that is looking at consolidating platforms (CKGs and SCP-AC have been using UCSF Confluence which is no longer working)
