  • Yes, for OT to answer. Either they can answer themselves, or would direct to whomever can answer.

• MP: Can brief boss, who is now on OT

• Legal question:

  • CDL is passing on question to UCOP General Counsel of whether campuses can share local licenses

  • People at local campuses may have different opinions

• Possible to send to SCLG?

  • We need to go through escalation structure

• Issue with SILS structure being used to address every “problem,” even if alternatives may be better suited. SILS is the most accessible structure for addressing issues, so easy for things to get into SILS, but more complicated to get out of SILS

• @Kevin Balster to find background info to see if SCLG had seen this before

• NB: dealing with OA resources that are funded, either locally or consortially. Lisa Mackinder said that SCP wouldn’t manage it, but heard contradictory info.

  • CA: current thinking is that there would be a group to consider these OA resources. Should be managed in the NZ, but how to get them into the NZ?

  • JP: ExL still gathering use cases for tracking OA in the system

  • SL (SC): matching up OA collections/titles in the NZ/CZ to orders is difficult

• CA: Went live with Rialto, and liking it. About to setup EBA for T&F. Lots of good buzz about updating specs with Rialto.

  • Have new position that is Acq/e-resource management

• JP: fiscal close is coming up. actively working on CZ updates task list - a big can of worms. Bandwidth issue

Future deliverables

Perpetual rights and entitlement tracking in Alma DRAFT

• authentication/authorization: largely managed by IT

  • UCR & UCSC working on OpenAthens implementation

  • to be pushed to the top of the list
