Decision Review and Vote

Review/Vote/Send to ICs

- Basecamp opened regarding changing to open days, harmonization, and what can/can’t be changed at the IZ level https://3.basecamp.com/3765443/buckets/15553579/messages/3832319657

    • Jason and Scott were going to write some workflow documentation outlining how campuses might handle renewing VDX items. The information will be added to the decision page as recommendations of two possible workflows for campuses to consider.

    • Check-in, ready to approve?

Harmonization of Loan Periods…:

Hold Shelf Period: Currently 7 days refers to open days.

Overdue Recall Fees: “I would suggest to keep NZ rules unchanged.
This means that institution can always use them when needed.

Two opitions:

  • create additional rule/s in the NZ with other variations for the policies;

  • institution create their own rules where they have defined "

Recalled Overdue Fine" as desired.

Let me know how you want to proceed?”

It sounds like the NZ rules can be overridden by a local rule handling these fines. There is some confusion relating to whether or not the NZ TOUs will pull defaults from the local campus or not.

We are asking for clarification in Basecamp.

Recommended Renew Workflow…:

Group added instructions to the recommendation page.

  • Harmonization of Loan Periods…:

Group Testing w/ ILL Ops

AFN Alternate Pickup Location Issue- All Campuses https://3.basecamp.com/3765443/buckets/15553579/messages/3864854967

Item was requested from UC Davis and theoretically went to NRLF. There may be a delay.

It appears that Berkeley will show up in the ROTA for items that are held by NRLF and need to be cancelled twice if the item can’t be supplied.

Trying this again with a request from UCLA. It looks like the ROTA is working as expected, except for NRLF. Elizabeth will test this with SRLF specifically.

-ILL Ops tested this earlier. The problem was filling in information in the volume field.
