PPC meeting updates and review of any action items from last meeting

Quick share of any local team updates

Vanguard campuses are still working on data review. Berkeley should be online soon.

UCLA is still working on configuring permissions.

Patron e-mail accounts may need to be modified in the test environment for testing purposes.

Partners aren’t fully added to the NZ.

Testing might not be able to fully begin until October.

Considered deadlines for FG/ELG decisions during the Vanguard

All

October 16th would be the deadline for bringing decisions to any of the ELGs

Oct 30th would be the final deadline for freezing decisions with the caveat that Resouce MGMT’s FG might need more time on particular issues which will be discussed as they arise.

This would leave 5 working weeks (but one is Thanksgiving) before the draft migration form is due for Test.

There might be a difference in the dates for decision making around migration and configuration.

Test Plan

We’ll go over some of the test scripts we’ve already started, and discuss creating more and what will need to be tested with partner.

All

Some of the testing scripts might require multiple people to navigate.

A column might need to exist to indicate which script was implemented to test each feature.

Some of the scripts need to be finalized.

Once access is provided, members can self identify once the changes are made to track testers.

Testing scripts will be revised as members gain access to Alma and get a feel for the interface. A lot of current scripts are based on training materials.

At Davis there’s a separate desk for ILL in Shields. Items come into ILL and go out to Shields. At Carlson, ILL is integrated into the circulation desk.

At Berkeley ILL is it’s own entity, not connected to any single library.

  • There will be a spreadsheet for the test templates and another mechanism to track who the testers are.

Parking Lot

There are some questions around what other things this group might add to the parking lot. Expiration dates and whatnot.

  • We may need to revisit our discussion regarding what fields are passed between campuses in the Network Zone. (Name, email, expiry date, etc.)

Members can add to the parking lot issues that they feel need to be considered or tracked.
