2

RMFG decision feedback with due dates

RMFG would like our group to take a look at their decisions pages and provide any feedback/concerns to them by their October deadlines

Local 856 data 10/7

Bibliographic records to leave out of the Vanguard NZ 10/13

Vanguard local RLF migration 10/13

Bibliographic records 9XX field mapping 10/21

All

RMFG has provided several decision pages for comment by this group.

In particular the RLF migration will impact multiple campuses and our users.

Records without OCLC numbers, not in the NZ, will only be locally available. Not available for request. One option may be to add these OCLC numbers over time and add them to the NZ.

At one current Alma campus, a group of on the fly records created for ILL purposes in Millennium and thought to have been deleted, were erroneously moved over and visible in Primo for a few days after go-live. They were cleaned up but it is important to be vigilant about suppressed records after migration.

This group does have the ability to invite RMFG’s chair to speak with this group about any questions that we have.

Members should go through these decision pages and call out anything that could impact our scope.

Test Plan

Elizabeth has created a sign-up sheet for the test scripts. This is located in Google Drive on the “Fulfillment Network Testing Worksheet”.

It’s likely that there will be unexpected outcomes or tests that need to be modified after trying it out. We may need a place to track versions of the test and take notes.

A future meeting time might be used to schedule and coordinate testing.

Ex Libris should be configuring our ROTA.

Non-Vanguard members won’t have their authentication credentials for a while longer.

Vanguard campuses may dry-run a few tests to make sure that things are ready for testing to begin. After that sign-ups can begin.

Joe will be looking into how the General Electronic Service is configured.

There is a stripped-down version of Request that only does Worldshare ILL, not local holdings. This will be used for ILL outside of UC. The UI will likely be changed.

It is unclear what display rule logic is available. Ideally, end-users should only see the applicable buttons for requesting items.

Vanguard members should check in Monday to see if we’re good to proceed with testing.

4

Parking Lot

There are some questions around what other things this group might add to the parking lot. Expiration dates and whatnot.

  • We may need to revisit our discussion regarding what fields are passed between campuses in the Network Zone. (Name, email, expiry date, etc.)

Members can add to the parking lot issues that they feel need to be considered or tracked.
