Policy Decisions and Harmonization Needs Follow-up | Share feedback from Liz Miraglia and Lisa Spagnola Discuss what might need to go to additional groups (Discovery, IC, etc.) | 20 min | @Catherine Busselen | Some Decision pages have been created, likelihood that many decisions will not be made before Vanguard is loaded Looking at 9xx fields, SCP data, protecting local fields (duplicates between campuses) Whatever data cleanup we can do is great. For example, UCB data cleanup will likely be pretty minimal, might take days to just just extract |
| All: Review document and comment if you think any decisions need to go beyond RM or Acq/E-Res. before next Jun 2, 2020 or Jun 3, 2020 |
Critical Data Cleanup Tasks Follow-Up | Share feedback from Implementation Coordinators group Discuss any feedback/issues being raised by campuses Determine means of tracking what has been done at each of the vanguard campuses | 20 min | @Catherine Busselen | IC feedback: communicate that any data cleanup should be done in consultation with systems administrators to determine if it should be done in the current system or in the extracted data and also to be sure that it is done at a time that will not negatively impact the system; in terms of tracking, keep it basic/minimally invasive or it may not be fully reported; tracking what has been done to assist with tracking what needs to be tested would be helpful We might want to think about prioritizing the list since it’s currently not Consider saving some cleanup for after the extraction (to avoiding crashing systems, etc.) We do want to send out a message about data cleanup status when the Vanguard is announced Will have the opportunity in Alma to try loading new records and other types of jobs after Vanguard data goes Harvard used some sample records for testing, we might want to consider that for ourselves and track in a GDoc ExL has a guide on testing migrated data at bottom of page: https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Implementation_and_Migration/Migration_Guides_and_Tutorials |
| @Catherine Busselen will draft note on Vanguard data cleanup for ILSDC to review @Cathleen Lu will share local Wiki page for cleanup tracking on Jun 1, 2020
|
Rows in Spreadsheet that Require Clarification | Review areas that Eileen and Josh felt needed more clarification in the spreadsheet Edit/Finalize changes to spreadsheet | 30 min | @Joshua Chaim Hutchinson (Unlicensed) @Eileen Pinto (Unlicensed) | Any remaining questions that weren't added to the Critical Data Cleanup Tasks or Policy Decisions Needed documents. |
| @Joshua Chaim Hutchinson (Unlicensed) and @Eileen Pinto (Unlicensed) will add outstanding questions to spreadsheet
|
