• Report shows that without the CZ records, numbers and percentages went way down

  • Not as significant in terms of cleanup

• UCSD has been diligent about processing OCLC number updates, but has backfired a bit with linking to NZ

  • Complicated cleanup process even after migration, due to merging records, moving inventory, etc.

• UCSD has identified some have print inventory attached- will separate those out

• ~178,319 records

• Recommendation for non-UCSD campuses to identify their non-composite MARCIVE records and remove 035 OCLC no.

  • Alma campuses will work with ExL if there’s no way to remove 035 from live records

• Non-UCSD campuses seem to have two option- loading some vs none of MARCIVE records during migration

  • Option 1: UCSD provide OCLC numbers for campuses to create sets

• Coverage from 856 does not get mapped onto Alma portfolio field- it comes from SFX

• Easiest ILSDC recommendation to not extract or load records duplicated in SFX, pros and cons if before and after cleanup

• Close review needed of 856 data that is not electronic inventory

• FYI: Local SFX data will go in if requested

• UCLA is seeing Tier 3 come over possibly from SFX (or Intota)

  • Worried that only relying on SFX will leave holdings attached on OCLC without any linking piece

• UCSB had to move the Hathitrust note in SCP records 856$3
