IP Match Criteria

PPC

Test Load Update: IP Match Criteria ties into Discovery functionality for scoping patrons' search results in Primo for electronic and physical items, and managing access to users (this can be done by building according to documentation). AEFG notes that access can be managed via the IP ranges given to content providers, as well as via the "Available For" functionality for Electronic Inventory. To provide the broadest possible settings for the Test Load, a recommended practice is to enter all of the institution's IP ranges at the Campus or institution level (the entire set of ranges can be entered for more than one row in the Campus section if needed). Further testing for resources that warrant restriction at this level can be done during the Test Load phase.

“Acquire For” line 32 and “Served Libraries” line 52

Acq/ERM

Local settings as appropriate, consulting with FG member as needed. Current Alma FG members indicate that “Acquire For” and “Served Libraries” can affect dropdown menus that are more challenging to modify after migration. Sites with centralized acquisitions may indicate appropriate acquiring library and “ALL.”

Licensing Tab may not be on every site’s configuration form. This tab has extensive settings regarding terms, their order, and display in the discovery interface (after being linked from a resource record). FG advises local sites to complete as appropriate, if present, with note that this is a likely area of harmonization during test load and possibly after go-live.
