Neil

In reference to Marina's workshop plan (see https://uc-sils.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ExL/pages/682066030 ), the current plan involves 8-9 workshops, which means we get 2-3 extra.  The current plan also lumps UCD law into the workshop(s) being offered for campuses already on alma.  I wanted to check that we don't have plans for those 2-3 spare workshops before I propose the following to Marci: I think it would be helpful for UCD Law and Main to get their own workshop, as UCD has a unique scenario of adding a separate entity (UCD Law) to the pre-existing installation.  I can promise that between UCD law and main we'll have enough questions to fill at least 3 days.

  • Why now? Understand risks of using a workshop and running short since the strategy was to leave some available workshops (including for potentially post-go-live)

  • Who is the request coming from? Neil. He has not consulted with Robin G or others, and they have not requested it.

  • When does this decision need to be made at the latest? Time pressure is in figuring out spring workshops.

  • What would it cost UCD Law to add a workshop?

  • What are the deadlines for spring workshops from Ex Libris perspective - Ask Marci today. [CB added this to the agenda for this afternoon.]

  • Ask Discovery FG to consider how we might do some show and tell of Primo for SILS News over time. We don’t want to go live to be the first time staff see it. Sneak previews curated; may require commentary about what will change/be decided so we don’t accidentally mislead.
