Hermine (UCLA):

• We’ve had a ticket in since December about local extensions not coming through reliably in import profiles. (An import of 100 records will have 10-15 come in without local extensions). Has anyone else noticed this?

• Also put in a ticket about searching Kanji script for Japanese (old forms and new forms should both retrieve the same results).

Shi (CDL/SCP): SCP is considering OCLC WorldCat Holdings Streamline Project for SCP records in NZ only, excluding CZ activated records. However, we no longer add 920 for participating campuses, also OCLC will no longer be the full representation of CDL licensed resources, only the portion SCP managed records. So we are wondering if we can change from 10 ER holdings to one? the proposal was sent to campuses via SCP-AC see if campuses need the XXXER holdings, any alternative, so it help simplify the process and management of SCP records.

Liz:

• UCSD is forming a local Metadata EDI Working Group. We’re hoping to focus on some local projects and also areas where we can help update OCLC records with recent changes

• Will also be submitting a ticket for CJK scripts similar to UCLA, Shi found the same issue with traditional and simplified Chinese not yielding the same results

Sarah:

• UCI Discovery does not show the ER link when deduping print and electronic records. Other campuses are not seeing this.
