All	The ELUNA and IGeLU Consortial Community of Practice groups are requesting input on what features consortia would like to see Ex Libris develop for 2027. They've sent out a survey with 10 feature suggestions and requested we rank them. Some of these features are clearly focused on NZ admins but some are things that campuses may (or may not) want. If we would like to have some input, Gem created a UC-form for you to fill out to help guide our response. This is completely optional. Does RM want to make any suggestions? Responses are due by Apr 10, 2026 People can provide individual responses to the form as well. UCSD: I asked on Slack but didn’t get a definitive response: is it okay to update our Homosaurus best practices to include the language code as part of the $2 since it’s now a multi-lingual thesaurus? From BFAS: “The code must be followed by an indication of language if the term appearing in the field is from a translated version of the original source document or list.” UCSB: Questions about continuing with OCLC have been raised by our UL; asked to provide data on how many records get WorldCat Daily Updates and what types; also asked to attend any conversations at ELUNA that take place regarding walking away from OCLC; Are any other campuses considering this? impact on public services Have any large libraries left OCLC? cataloging outsourced to vendors which use campus OCLC logins How to participate in PCC, NACO, SACO and others w/o OCLC? use for Worldshare Collection Manager and WorldCat Updates, especially when a library lacks language expertise, subject updates and other ongoing maintenance. collection analysis (campuses and SLFs) depends on OCLC numbers and NZ records (incl Greenglass) re-negotiate better pricing with OCLC?
