Discussion items
Item | Desired Outcome | Time | Who | Notes | Decisions | Local group takeaways | Actions | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Updates |
| 10 mins | Liz
| Liz: FG reported their priorities in a spreadsheet for tracking at the last PPC meeting. UCLA: Concerned with Analytics. Liz has reported this concern to PPC. Waiting for PPC’s guidance on how to test Analytics. For now, maybe Alma libraries can provide some information. The other concern is about EDT. Liz assumed that it is not a big part in Vanguard but will put the question out there. Maybe CDL can take on it at the system level. |

2 | Testing |
| 20 mins | All | Data security acknowledgement forms Review ILSDC spreadsheet--should we add decision page links? | Liz will explore if it is possible to collocate all due dates relating to a decision and incorporate this information in the calendar. RMFG copy: focus on the local version for now and come back to it later. | Each campus’s IC should have a copy of it. Everyone needs to fill the form and send it through. Liz proposes a decision calendar for the group to keep track of decisions for other FGs and campuses to consult with and due dates. It can be used to record Vanguard load evaluation from and help with making decision for the test load. Due dates will be determined in conjunction with PPC and other stakeholders. The other suggestion is to include links to extended discussions. It is also suggested having the calendar on the group’s Confluence main page. Another idea is to also include URLs to the decision page and review page. Possible timeline: Final date for consulting group feedback: 6 days before the meeting. Final date for local campus feedback: 24 hours before the meeting. Most decisions relating for test load are likely to be made by the end of November. | Liz will bring the calendar to PPC for input and nailing down due dates. |
3 | Configuration | Review Alma documentation, decide how VG campuses are handling this? | 15 mins | All | ExL released a check list on Basecamp today. These are all about NZ configurations. After some data review, folks can ask specifically what kind of normalization rules, etc. examples they want to see so Alma libraries can provide some examples. | The data and the needs of each campus will probably drive which of these configurations need to be changed quickly. |

4 | Subgroups | Vote on subgroup draft recommendation | 20 mins | All | The group voted yes on this decision. | ExL has turned on NZ local authority files in NZ. So, an access point matching a local authority file will appear as “controlled.” Vanguard libraries are encouraged to check them out and provide feedback. |

5 | Bib record management in the NZ | Review existing decision page | 15 mins | All | Deferred to next meeting |
