Debrief of Zoom Meeting with Steven Burke (ExLib)

Topics to discuss:

  • Is using the Statistical User Categories something we would like to pursue further in addressing getting more accurate statistics? If so, how should we test/proceed further?

  • What would be the priority given and placement in the Resource Sharing Work Plan?

  • Who would need/want to be on this project? (Would it even still be Resource Sharing or maybe the new Analytics group??)

Yes to proceeding in testing.

how? two to three campuses to test & make sure that the stat cats come up as we need. Would be good to have one site that’s using the anonymization requests

consideration: are campuses already using user stats? has any campus utilized all 5 cats?

testing plans parts: set up user stats in Alma & Analytics, stick user stat cat onto network patron (question: how to update user stat cat onto network patron???), check analytics (probably requests subject area, can check others);

UCB & UCSD pursue testing; UCLA open to testing as well (UCB has anon on; UCLA does not; UCSD will check)

test plans & testing to proceed with email updates to group; reconvene RS A PT after testing complete.

Priority: Medium
