3 | Are the enhancements to RS getting in UC’s way? | 5ish | everyone | previously optional interface now required ; formatting enhancement of UI awkward ExL fixed UCSD’s VDX issue (couldn’t see VDX received requests in Alma) UCR has issue with some AFN requests not coming up in search |
|
| |
4 | search bug from last week affected checkouts; | discuss effects on AFN/RS brokering | 5ish | Scott | search bug affected checkouts → offline checkout had to be used AFN materials didn’t work for offline checkout. (not sure if reported to ExL) |

| @Alison Ray (CDL) add correction of ApplicationProfileType from OCLC to comply with Alma specifications to Gaps document (showstopper + high priority) May 15, 2023 |
7 | University of California Gender Recognition and Lived Name (GRLN) | continue discussion of policy & impact on Alma, Primo, VDX (Tipasa?) from listserv | 5ish | Kristen | UCB Alma has both legal & lived (preferred) name → IVEA sending in legal name; NCIP uses lived name UCSD also using legal & preferred names → same situation |
| |
8 | Campus Mail notices to patrons |
| 15ish | Ryan | What do other campuses do when something is sent to their patron via campus mail in regards to a disclaimer that since it is checked out to the patron at that point, is it now their responsibility? We recently had an ILL book lost via campus mail to a UCSF patron and will now need to pay for the replacement by the lending library. We don’t have any disclaimers in place in regards to campus mail. |

| items being kicked out to WorldshareILL at end of ROTA even though we have those items in our catalog (Demitra) [RS OST SC notes 5/1/23: hold for consideration post Tipasa implementation]: ‘pick up anywhere exceptions’: review shared messages, what would be next steps [RS OST SC 5/1/23 notes: propose to remove item, effort needed is greater than benefit gained]: is the “randomized” part of the AFN rota building actually randomizing things? Jason has a hunch that within the geographical groups it’s creating them alphabetically. (discovered in reviewing schedule c report) [RS OST SC notes: this item is finished]: NRLF/SRLF rejected stuck at B/LA follow up: SH’s ‘guide’; test with what B/LA see; more escalation with ExL (scott, Mallory, Jason, patrick) [RS OST SC notes: add to work plan]: ExL’s solicitation to “contribute to the Resource Sharing Directory”. Kind of a huge thing that we should think about? (Mallory) → maybe after P2P investigation… |
