CSU’s suggesting we “approach Unity (everyone’s courier provider) together to work out a new structure for delivering materials in California”.

DOC discussing in nov; DOC is looking for: “a thumbs up or down on participation, and any names of folks who would want to be in the initial discussion”

qs: what is our expected contribution (time commitment)? what is changing?

not all UCs have a CSU in their loop - not as big of a stake

UC/CSU ILL-ing not a big portion for UC

lack of trust with Unity in their follow-through (regardless of customer push back)

SLFs asking us to fill out survey on local, IZ use only lending practices. SLF ops managers can come to a meeting if we need more info.

Are we the right group to answer these questions? likely need coordination with / delegation to F OST, collections in some cases

@Dawson Kelly (UCSC) explain to SLF ops managers that these kinds of questions should go through OT to figure out who is best equipped to answer these type of questions.

uresolver_remote_register parameter:

Value : AFN behavior / register link appearance

Auto: allows for item level requesting / no register link

Manual: allows for item level requesting / creates register link in primo

None: does NOT allow item level requesting (only title level requesting) / no register link

item level requesting was turned off via "ExL diagnosed that these links were displaying on our holdings because of a disabled Display Logic Rule (Alma Configuration > Fulfillment > Discovery Interface Display Logic > Display Logic Rules). The rule "For user groups Network: Hide service Digitization, General Hold Request, Hold Request" SHOULD be toggled to Active in order to prevent the links from showing on our items in other UC's Primos. " (Berkeley case 07487496) - presumed removed the ‘request item’ level link on any UCB item in all UC Primos; likely had no impact on register link

1. test if ‘none' actually removes remote register link for all UCs; that request is only available at title level; patron record gets created with resource sharing link; double check local holds; check that item status at other UC is still visible

If you are able, make RS eligible dummy accounts in local sandboxes.
