5	Ex Libris Backups	Initial thoughts	15	GSL	Is it worth delving more into the current backup strategy and if we should do anything in addition to the current setup? Who has our data? Shared collections has contracts; shared print has our item level stuff; providers have our entitlements lists; OCLC has our physical holdings; GOBI would have ebook data. If we did get a data dump quarterly to store on our own - what exactly would we do with that data? If we are using our own data sump by then we’d be trying to restore an entire ILS. What is the most important data that we would need, that can’t be recovered from elsewhere? What is the value/cost of that data? We don’t necessarily need the ExL paid service for backups quarterly.
