2 | Final review of the October Virtual Alma Vanguard Training schedule | Get final approval for the schedule from the IT team. | 5 mins | All | Feedback from ExL: The EXL training team can accommodate this schedule however you should be aware of some potential complications: When Technical Services and Patron Services are each together in a single block, it is easier to be flexible with timing and slide topics to other timeslots as is sometimes required during a workshop if more time is needed based on questions. Having the two topics interspersed like this would make that flexibility much more clunky, particularly in technical services. Additionally, the placement of Q & A sessions could be problematic. It might make much more sense to finish Patron Services on Day 2 instead of bringing them in on Day 3. And yes, the “Introduction – all staff” section would be helpful for everyone. Marci reported breaking it up doesn’t allow for contracting and expanding for questions. Set expectations up front for questions during the session. Hold questions until the end, etc. Save questions until the end. | ||
