Ex Libris support meeting: when do we get Root Cause Analysis (RCA) “when an ExL production system is down for more than 5min an RCA is produced automatically” - sandbox, analytics, etc don’t get RCAs. We can always request one.

OARMPT report: they’ll be asking for a new SILS group for cross-fx work.

TP: Maybe if we formalize more SILS cross-functional meetings between OSTs that might cover something like OA?

4

SILS Membership Transition

Q: What kind of sessions would be useful for incoming chairs?

Q: What about project team chairs? We always forget to invite them!

The process for voting for Vice Chair - I liked how OT did it this year, and I liked the form. It’s not training so much as the documentation hub: taking the time to put something together for the future. Can we have something for the future? +1

Alison last year walked us through how she used confluence as a chair (sharing tips and tricks as a power user). That was useful.

Incoming vice chairs might benefit from “group facilitation” training and talking. Might others within SILS as well? Reducing barrier to access for vice chair.

I don’t know what I don’t know - I can run a meeting, and I can edit a confluence page.

Strategic leadership vs responsive facilitation: I just want to keep the bus on the road and not get in the way of others.

ERES is 80/20? 70/30? Mostly dealing with practical/facilitating. We talk about the planning/long term and then usually get hamstrung by lack of staff time to implement/pursue anything at campuses. More info gather/sharing and like F, deal with things that come up and need intervention.

F OST is the latter. not necessarily the complaining, but we try to problem solve and troubleshoot whatever a member/campus brings to the group. then we focus on that until we get a solution.

Chairs need to know about putting-out-of-fires! Maybe a brief on how to escalate, who to talk to.

Project Team chairs invited to come talk.

CN + RA → meet after ACH to see what could be brought into SILS.
