The Fulfillment FG and ILL Ops should conduct tests with the following scripts in the order outlined below. The AFN will be configured first, then IVEA, and finally NCIP. The groups will aim to test 2-3 during their weekly meeting. Additional tests will be added as needed.

STRATEGICALLY PLACED REMINDER FOR ELIZABETH TO RECORD MEETING
Today we’re just checking in with each other and using the time to complete any tests we may not have gotten to yet.
There are some issues with testing. Some items are getting stuck at the “Ready to be sent” status.
Everyone could set UCLA to “inactive” so that they are skipped in the rota. The Resource Sharing Manager role is needed.
So far AFN volume has been low.
Joe Ferrie fixed an error related to patron expiry date.
Jason has a workaround for ILL items lent during the freeze between UCs that didn’t end up in Alma. Edited the patron record, received the item again and put the primary identifier for the patron in the alternate barcode within VDX. Once the item is in Alma, you can scan it in to place it on hold for the patron.
Information being passed by the AFN might not contain all of the information required. This might be able to be fixed via an API if needed.
If an item goes out to WSILL as lender of last resort but the item is available in the AFN, should operators push the request to UCs in VDX? It’s probably easier to request it from a non-AFN lender until we get this sorted.
Down the road we might consider adding Stanford as a direct ISO partner in Alma.
There’s potential for adding the CSUs as a fulfillment network as well.
Labeling is up to local preference.
Sandboxes should be available around August 8. We’ll have to build those out and configure those before doing more testing.

Copyright Check Box
From Discovery: “Discovery FG noticed that the August Primo VE Release Notes mention a new option to add a copyright statement to Request forms. It looks like this statement would have an accompanying mandatory check box.
We recalled that the Request system has a copyright notice and so we wanted to reach out to FFG to see if this was a potential area where campus configuration should be harmonized.”
Has any campus already identified a place for this button to live? Already Alma campuses?
Our desired placement for the button
Could be investigated post-go-live
Finalized decision page after investigation from Discovery FG should include any configuration instructions (if something can be set up of course), so other campuses can do their own configuration if desired.
All
It looks like already Alma campuses do not have a “My ILL” button in Primo.
Not everyone will be using the UC Davis method for renewals.
Elizabeth will draft a recommendation page related to the My ILL button.

Parking Lot
Joe Ferrie is putting together a smoke test protocol for July 26. This will include pairing up with someone from another institution.
The AFN will be turned on or off for institutions that aren’t lending. If a campus only wants to handle digital materials, they will probably have to cancel requests for physical items.
Members can add to the parking lot issues that they feel need to be considered or tracked.
