UCSD training is similar to UCLA, also creating some documentation going through each of the menus in the MDE. Knowing that they might change but we need to orient people at the start (will share)

Planning June training. Thinking:
Basic sessions for a wide variety of staff (including non-cataloging staff who might edit items and holdings) - include navigation, searching, troubleshooting, holdings and items.
Cataloging sessions for cataloging staff - include OCLC Gateway, rules, call numbers, etc.
Extended sessions for staff used to working in batch (would be more collaborative) - include imports, e-resources(?)
Also trying to get everyone who will be participating in training their real permissions before June 14, eek (so they can save their own templates, etc.).
5.25M records updated in Voyager from WorldCat updates!
UCB:
A 1 hour Alma training for non-catalogers will be next week. RMFG is not the group doing this, it’s the Training Group.
We’ll be able to use the Millennium Trainer til September, if needed, and OskiCat can be looked at til July 27.
799 “Local collection title” will actually be in 973. It had been mapped incorrectly. (Where fields are going: 796 → 970, 797 → 971, 798 → 972, and 799 → 973.)
Most current training group to report back to us this Friday on their progress is the MDE group.
