10

Lisa S.

  • Certification and Training process - Enter on FG-Specific Chart

  • Project Planning for late summer/fall and COVID-19 related responses

    • FG discussed current constraints with SILS and local responsibilities. Acknowledgement that additional constraints may enter in. Question raised whether “back-ups” may be needed to stay on timeline.

  • SILS Chairs: 7/15 9am - Decision Pages discussion, including Vendor Page w/ revision

  • All: Fill in where you are in the training process.
  • Lisa Spagnolo re-introduce the “understudy” option due to broadness of FG scope (both e-resources and acquisitions expertise) via discussion with PPC.

Communication Planning

Preparing feedback for Lisa/Carla to Ben/Adrian for project communication from our FG.

10

Lisa S.

Questions/issues to consider.

  • How to communicate your group’s initiatives and milestones to the cohort vs. UC Libraries vs. a general audience.

  • How you feel about the feedback you’re receiving, both within the cohort and from UC campuses through group representatives.

  • Are you pleased with your group’s Confluence space as a communications tool?

  • All: be thinking about how FG can communicate its activity to cohort, UC-wide, beyond as appropriate. Send items over Slack channel or email (to either Lisa or Carla) by Friday, July 24th.
5

Vision Document

Finalize for Confluence presentation.

Lisa S./All

Basecamp Review

Review with FG items from Basecamp from other groups, pertinent to scope.

5

P2E update from Laurie - deciding to leave active since ExL originated and may still be needed through data migration prep.

7

Migration Form Questions

Surface any emerging questions for Migration Forms.

10

Lisa S./ All

Migration Form Questions as standing item will turn to Configuration Forms as project moves forward. PPC discussion is how FGs may review Configuration Forms on any areas to development as recommendations for Vanguard sites (i.e., earlier in the timeline before sites need to submit to ExL).

Alma campuses have parked migration form examples in Google. Feel free to ping Slack with questions as your campuses develop your forms.

  • Show Alma EDI tab briefly here (Lisa S.)

  • Lisa Spagnolo to review configuration forms to bring to 7/22 call.
  •

Planning for Assessment/Testing for Vanguard

Continuing discussion for assessment and testing from FG perspective.

All

PPC Testing Discussion update from Lisa S. - understood that non-Vanguard FG members will likely be involved in testing. Working out protocol for requesting - we may need to develop the “case.”

  • Review/Discussion of Draft Test Cycle Guidelines and Sample Test Plan from Lisa W.

    • Draft guidelines introduce type of testing (unit test for data fields, functional testing, integration testing)

    • Time estimation useful for assessing how long items may take (e.g., a quicker checklist vs. more prolonged coordinated testing)

  • See Issues/Questions, evolving into document to capture testing items. Ongoing tasks to pull from our Decisions Pages, Phase 3 identified items, our Phase 4 documents (see esp. comments).

    • Developing areas of testing integrating the concepts from the test cycle guidelines and sample test plan.

    • Can take a subset of an area (identified on second tab) and build out what would be needed for unit testing, functional testing.

    • What are the minimum acceptance criteria for our areas?

  • Paula Pascual to start on developing testing areas with focus on electronic resources. Others to join in as able, using Issue/Question Tracker as working document (esp. second tab).
