Cash Limit Testing:

The differences in cash limit blocks on different campuses may make it difficult to harmonize. Local harmonization may be difficult. More exploration of AFN level cash limit blocks may be necessary.

AFN Consortial Blocks:

We’ll need to make sure that all of the stakeholders are informed, as well as all relevant local groups and units that will be impacted.

Work Plan: Borrowing Privileges Harmonization

Initial look At Borrowing Privileges Information

All

There appear to be significant differences in loan configuration across the different campuses.

Each campus has their own stakeholders that have to be involved with or approve changes to loan limits/rules.

The group will investigate the AFN limits and see if they are impacted by the local limits.

At first look, loan limits seems to be located under user groups and not differentiated by local or AFN lending sources.

Can configure (and harmonize?) a Network loan limit?

  •  Consult with Allison to see if the AFN can be configured such that there’s a network level loan limit.

Work Plan: Missing AFN Items

There are a few specific examples of items having been lost in the system. This might require a document that outlines multiple situations and how we might handle them, officially.

This may include: Lost items, damaged items…

An interim solution, for damaged items, may be to not check damaged items in and instruct the patron to contact the lending library.

  •  Joe and Antonio will make an attempt at creating a draft document to outline procedures for different scenarios.

There was a discussion from Phase 4 around Reading Rooms and how that functioned in Alma. One of the campuses (UCR?) might have put in an EXL request around this. This comes into play when there are library use only resource sharing items.

  •  Add library use only items and relevant configurations to the agenda.
