Check in / info around CSU’s ILL practices and potential UC/CSU interactions.

CSUs on Rapido now, have ILLiad/WSILL as ‘backup’; coming to tipping point of fewer requests in ILLiad/WSILL and may drop ILLiad/WSILL; each CSU will decide ILLiad/WSILL sub independently but likely to all be together in a couple years

Orbis pilot Alma Deep Link - can have only one deep link in PrimoVE - holdings only; Could see CSU holdings (as scope) & request CSU specific holding (deep link not necessary with Rapido)

UCSC q: already have OCLC scope that’s totally separate from UCSC index, is deeplink similar? CSU: not sure, thinks CUNY managed to do a WC + CUNY scope

CSU considers this a ‘hybrid pod’, UCs Alma would be P2P Alma RS; locate profiles can still find CSUs even if patron doesn’t click magic CSU link; considers DeepLink easiest

Other option, in Tipasa, Alma ISO partner - OCLC said they don’t want to do ISO partners

UCs could do P2P without deeplink - CSU did that with CUNY; can’t discover records from CSU Alma (would have to use WC holdings, CSUs indicate still would use OCLC for cataloging)

Testing is mostly with physical for non-RapidILL requests, RapidILL fills most article requests - not as much a concern for CSUs; Alma RS lacked (at CSU implementation) CP metadata
