CDL Director Shared Collections- Sherry introduced SILS ERES and issues surrounding the sharing of licenses which is a deliverable in our workplan

CDL NZ Task Force-
10/31 - CDL vendors in sandbox and go-live on this date
--UCLA entered ACM for SUSHI only - but no Alma vendor acq data as that’s attached to CDL vendor. Explore pluses and minuses.

11/4-acq feedback due on the testing of NZ acq data

UCSB Greenglass - wanting feedback from other campuses who have used it/ analyzing both “e” and “p”

MPS SUSHI Harvest - one person should have access, main usage person per campus, can contact cdl stats. Considering whether data could stay in MPS and combine with Alma. -

UCB- serials reduction products. Statistics based on usage, not thorough process. Tier 3-database usage

UCSC - multiple projects- tracking, wishlist, trials
UCI - new staffing which will have impact locally
UCSF - testing - Katie has new workflow- move set into collection (source service not matching new service) - DARA recommendations producing a service error (she will send out email using listserv and gather feedback to help resolve the error).

Discussion:

  • UCSB testing - after submitting feedback, what is the goal after that? Campus driven or some cohesive rules across the UC?

  • CDL-NZ anticipates harmonization where applicable, recommendation of best practices, but likely no single process. Maybe crowdsourcing process by breaking into subgroups with campuses that have similar needs.
