2 | Quick Updates from Other GroupsNone | 5 | SILS at UCSF will be opening up their Orientation and Navigation meeting to additional staff outside of their core group; will gather feedback on how that goes UCI, since they have already implemented Alma/Primo, are not participating in the Vanguard | ||||||||||||
3 | Vanguard Alma Vanguard Virtual Training | Review timeline for October training | 10 | All | Timeline:
Do we want to identify modules that would be most impacted by training this week? If so, how shall we get feedback about prioritizing their requests for time/day of delivery? Reviewed the “Alma Remote Workshop Agenda” | 4 | Review Task List | Maintain awareness about tasks that are out-standingPatron Services scheduling is most problematic in terms of timing |

4 | UCS Vanguard Training Evaluation Plan | Begin a discussion about how we can evaluate the vanguard training | 10 | All | Went through the task list to update deadlines. | 5 | 6 | 7 | Developing Work Plan | Review charge and determine specific deliverables, dependencies, and how they fit into overall timeline Review Immediate Needs as well as Short Term, Medium Term and Long Term aspects of work plan as identified by the IT-SC Determine how to meet the IT-SC recommended deadline of the end of August How do we want to get feedback on Vanguard training? | We will use a short survey |
| |||
5 | Developing Work Plan | Break deliverables down into additional tasks where known and identify where more work may be needed Add timeline information and dependencies where they do not exist Identify what gaps there are in the deliverables/tasks/timeline (i.e. PrimoVE) Are there other details we would like to include in the Work Plan (i.e. links to external documentation, ownership, internal deadlines vs EL timeline, etc.) Determine who will make the Work Plan “pretty” for submission to TOC Determine if we can meet an end of August deadline for the presentation of this work plan to the TOC | 30 | C. Busselen | https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13CSVYsPVnWvg_Lqw2LrAEhmsWn6H6IPK9299QAt9vAA/edit?usp=sharing Deliverables from charge:
IT-SC identified Immediate, Short Term, Medium Term and Long Term needs: SHORT-TERM: Need to start the overall work plan, including review of the timeline items from ex libris and determining what additional timeline items are needed. SHORT-TERM: Check in on vanguard training process
MED-TERM: October training:
LONG-TERM: IT needs to discuss about April-May slots for training:
Do we transfer these materials to somewhere else, such as google drive? If so, in what format, and who will transfer it (probably a group effort). When should we transfer materials so we can start working on making modifications? What topics / subjects are either missing, or need to be expanded on? What additional material might be needed (just at a high level overview, plenty of time through the project to identify additional material). Marci suggested we review material from some other network zones as well: Cal State: https://calstatela.libguides.com/ALMA U of Georgia: https://sites.google.com/view/g3almatraining CARLI: https://www.carli.illinois.edu/products-services/i-share/i-share-documentation
In all of the work above, need to start considering formatting and branding. Note that branding will be determined by the Comm leads, but we’ll need to reach out to them to notify them of our specific need and identify our next steps alongside theirs. Primo will probably follow a similar approach, but more on that soon. What are the existing training dates (specific and approximate)?https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ci0jtgDusouiJRkMyLrq4EXj10_EsU6epqWcdXRlDSY/edit#gid=0 Where can our deliverables be incorporated into the timeline? What dependencies can we identify? |
| 8 | Meeting Immediate Needs | Review initial GoogleDoc for documenting informal feedback Understand weekly messaging assignments; create a schedule for Peter, Brian, Catherine, and Dominique for the next few sessions. Weekly tasks include: Posting exercises from basecamp to confluence (before Wed) Creating new Google form for Weekly questions (before Wed) Posting weekly questions to basecamp (following Monday) | 15 | D. Turnbow | D. Turnbow--Week 3 (posted 7/14) C. Busselen--Week 4 (posted 7/21) |
