3 | Campus customizations round-robin | 35m - Daisy Nip | Decision Pages Other discussion Potential data clean-up need: We have examples where physical items are stored as electronic; and vice versa. Overall, this impacts a relatively small number of records - so our recommended approach remains the strongest - but it is an opportunity for data clean-up. AASA-PT can share this issue and the underlying analyses (print stored as electronic, electronic stored as print) with RMFG, as an FYI (identify this as a potential clean-up project, for RMFG or local prioritization/decision-making).
For special collections and archives, and specifically the manuscript Resource Type, local configuration details are needed to ensure SCAs are appropriately isolated. Manuscript as a category isn’t a designation of the item being SCA (e.g., dissertations and theses are categorized and a manuscript but not SCA).
| | - Ellen Augustiniak and Daisy Nip will update the Categories decision page to point to the detailed spreadsheets outlining the issue of physical holdings stored as electronic (and vice versa).
- Ellen Augustiniak will reach out to the RMFG chair, to let them know about the potential data-clean-up candidates (electronic stored as physical; physical stored as electronic); AASA-PT defers to RMFG to determine how to prioritize and advance this clean-up.
- ALL - Campus customizations are due June 12, if possible. June 14 can also work. SC&A likely is the shared priority right now.
