Do we need to change the time/day of our meeting?

Check-in on each groups' progress toward writing a summary of conversations and findings related to open access discovery issues for the decision page

• Philosophy of discovery layer - questions and thoughts developed by PSELG (Rikke, Miquel)

• clarified questions so that they’d be intelligible to others, grouped into 2 categories (how we do things, how users experience search)

• UC OA cataloging policy (Cynthia, Sarah Troy)

• consolidated notes from various group conversations and from our campus meetings, will add notes from JSC meetings as they are available

• CDI - questions developed by PSELG (Sara Davidson Squibb, Beth D)

• provided list of helpful resources, as a next step may peruse campus conversation notes to see if there are questions to mine there (although we ended the conversation before we really explored deeply, and there’s a lot of variety in how campus conversations went)

How do we merge these sections together? There’s some amount of overlap between sections.

We acknowledged that we have some confusion about document, content, structure

Topic for a future PSELG conversation: Do we need to try to fill in all the gaps, or is it okay to acknowledge that this is a work in progress and it is not yet complete?

Rikke Ogawa (Unlicensed) will take a first pass at writing a summary for the decision page

members will continue adding content to the shared google document over the next 2-3 weeks

will reorder/restructure the shared document once we’ve had time to complete our contributions

• Looking from a system-wide perspective rather than presenting individual campus plan recommendations, PPC is putting together a document that outlines what must be in place on Day One, 6 months, 1 year.

• Be prepared to discuss items PSELG would like to add to the document.

Opportunity to document things that need to happen NOW, and things that need to happen at future time periods (6mos, 1yr after implementation)

Focus is systemwide functionality

Primo VE testing is happening in March
