Checkin/quick updates/anything from parking lot, slack or email

  • Don’t forget to check the Task report for your outstanding tasks and check them off when done.

All

  • Phase 4 Midterm Report redacted version - was this resolved via slack?

  • Update on the Primo VE demo:

    • From Katie Ritchey: IT, EUO, and discovery members on each campus should be working together to decide and craft trainings for their staff on Primo.

    • We may still give a high level Primo overview to the system as a whole; but we decided to wait until after the Primo VE workshops by Ex Libris in case one of the sessions recordings could fulfill the same purpose.

    • We also revamped the #toc slack channel to be used for communication around this topic as we progress.

    • From Stacy Brinkman:  EUOS put together this slide deck as a sample template (we will be looking more closely this week): https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/10IlZ2s9x8NSOmT9G1CKDx6aq45Tmt5ZxLDDQqitC4ik/edit?usp=sharing

    • EUOS members are tasked with finding out from their own campuses about “sweet spot” dates for orientations. This would have to happen before the June 25 lockout, but after a lot of decisions are made re: configuration of Primo VE locally

“This month in SILS” PILOT

Start of the month talking points about SILS; release as a SILS News.

Workflow:

  • Last week of the month: Ask via SILS Chairs slack channel - what’s your “need to know” (for library staff) for this month to share in SILS News? If you were speaking at a TH, what’s the one thing your group would want to share.(OK if you don’t have anything). Share answer in SILS Chairs slack (meet people where they are.)

    • SILS PM talking points

    • EUOS news releases talking points

  • Com Leads refine it. Ready to go out on the first of the month as a SILS News.

  • Reminder at the SILS chairs meeting.

Parking Lot

  • [Talk about in June] Who will manage go-live announcements? What have other consortia done to share go-live announcements? (is this EUOS work or project work?) We will need to set expectations around the time of go-live (morning, noon, later?)

  • Consider: Celebrations/Melvyl retirement: At Aug 8 TH, put a “Melvyl retirement party” section with Q&A with Melvyl creators or quotes on slides. Recognize everyone who was part of Melvyl over the years. Fun interactive poll? Virtual online card you can contribute to.

  • In progress: Patron complaint escalation process message (Adrian). Next steps: draft the email to CoUL to share with their library staff.

    • escalation path
