Neil discussed the charge with Lena and Christine - as expected, there is some confusion over the role of the group. While this team will provide communication structure and templates, there is a question of if they will also be responsible for actually sending out said communication. Further, the team is only responsible for communication around training items to campuses (excluding library staff) - the internal training team will be responsible for communication with library staff around training. Some coordination with the communication operation leads will be needed.

  • Set up an introductory meeting with the communication operation leads, begin to identify joint-projects (clearing-house setup, for example).

  • Start identifying candidates for the “train the trainer” process. Generally want at least one staff member per department, at each campus. Be mindful of branch libraries. This will only be the initial pass to identify potential gaps - we will do this process again much closer to staff training.
