Recommendation

SCP will stop sending LHRs to OCLC after [date]. The LHRs will not be necessary in Alma/Primo because CDL-licensed resources are not available for ILL and the functionality that they provided in Melvyl will be replaced by Primo.

SCP will also remove existing LHRs from OCLC at some point after go-live to avoid confusion.

This decision does not include setting regular OCLC holdings symbols. SCP will continue to set “-ER” holdings for the foreseeable future.

Reasoning

The only current use for CDL LHRs is to support the visibility of CDL-licensed content in Melvyl. The content is not lendable through ILL or other resource sharing processes. Since Primo is replacing Melvyl there is no need for SCP to continue setting LHRs.
