Recommendation

Update 07/27/2021: the moratorium has been lifted. Campuses can begin making edits to shared NZ-linked bibs in accordance with the guidelines here: https://uc-sils.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RMF/pages/1088127169

RMFG proposes that campuses refrain from making changes (including additions, revisions, and deletions) to NZ-linked bib records from the time IZ and NZ environments begin to be delivered until all 10 campuses + CDL have signed their data acceptance forms.

Notes:

  • This does not prevent changes to local configurations or other types of data including, but not limited to: IZ-only bibs, holdings/item records, user records, etc.

  • This does not prevent the resumption of circulation or other fulfillment activities

  • In the event that one or more campuses are unable to go-live by July 27, RMFG will discuss whether to extend the moratorium and coordinate with the ICs to determine an appropriate response

Reasoning

Since campuses will be accepting their data at different times between July 23 (-ish) and July 27, a moratorium prevents edits from causing unnecessary confusion for campuses still doing review. RMFG anticipates that the moratorium will be lifted on July 27 for everyone.
