Roles: What are the duties needed to get the work done? Who will take notes? Who will keep meetings on track/time? Who is responsible for tracking actions?

Build meeting agenda -

Note taking - rotate note-taking among membership

Meeting facilitator - John Renaud will facilitate next meeting

Meeting timekeeper -

Communication subgroup?

Track status of action items -

(From Taking the Temp survey: We will stay fairly knowledgeable about what is taking place throughout Phase 4 SILS work, so that we can guide the work as appropriate.) Determine who will track what throughout the Phase4 SILS work so that we’re prepared and have context to resolve issues brought to this group. What do we need to track? Is any Alma training needed?

What are our expectations for working together? Create a list of statements that the team agrees to uphold. For example, ask yourself: How do we make this group a safe space for transparent discussion (knowing that it might become contentious, and avoid back-channeling)? What are our ground rules for meetings? How do we ensure everyone is engaged? How do we ensure everyone has a voice? How will we resolve disagreements?

Trust each other. Have confidence that the issues discussed will be kept in confidence

Support each other and be genuine with each other about ideas, challenges, and feelings

Come prepared for the meetings and discussions

Be present, in person and in attention

Be accountable and responsible for the team and to the team. If commit to doing something, will do it

Be open-minded and honesty is cherished

Look for win-win types of solutions, or those that benefit the greatest number of parties..

Base decisions on reasons, as much as possible.

Bring a sense of curiosity to discussions. Prioritize understanding the “why” of different points of view

Maintain focus on the skillset each brings to the group, not individual campus interests
